The Aga Khan Rural Support Programme (AKRSP) organised a consultative workshop with government officials in Gilgit to share key findings from previous community consultations, aimed at informing policy and budgeting decisions.
Organised under the GAC-funded BEST4WEER project, this series of consultative workshops seeks to ensure that government policies and annual budgeting processes are inclusive and gender-responsive, reflecting the priorities and concerns raised by communities across the region.

Key participants included Member of the Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly Ms Kulsoom Farman, Minister for Women Development Ms Dilshad Bano, Minister for IT Ms Suraya Zaman, along with the Additional Secretary for Women Development, Secretary IT, Director General Education, Director Agriculture, Director General Mines and Minerals, Deputy Secretary Finance, and other officials from various departments.
The discussions focused on strategic planning for the upcoming Annual Development Plan (ADP) and resulted in several actionable recommendations.
